BOUNTIFUL OF MUSTARD GREENS HARVEST SPRING 2015

"It's Harvest Time"

Japanese Mustard Greens
"Ready for Harvest"
May 30, 2015

The time has come to pick those greens.  They were screaming out "pick me, PICK ME!"

I've reaped in the benefits with a nicely full basket of fresh organic mustard greens.  I've saved myself at least $8 worth.  Organic fresh dark leafy greens produce goes for $3.99 or more depending on the place of supermarket you go to.  Most will charge per pound.

Love the food you grow...

Thanks to Mother Nature

And know where your food comes from!

As a reminder every Monday is Harvest Time at Daphne's Dandelion

  1. Beautiful mustard greens! I had my first kale & radish harvest this week and it feels great to finally get some salad ingredients from the garden.

    1. Thanks! Yum - I love kale salad and radish. Sometimes I steam the radish.

  2. Those are just beautiful. I've never grown them. I tried one year and the root maggots took every single one down. But that was years ago.

    1. Thanks! Oh wow. I hate dealing with the pests. It's hard work to fend them off.

  3. Your Japanese mustard green look similar to the red giant mustard I grow.

    1. Yup. Food produce has become very costly these days especially if you're trying to eat organic items.
