JAPANESE TEA

Genmai-cha Green Tea

I finally had a cup of the Genmai Cha tea.  Wow, this was some powerful tea.  The tea has a distinctive taste- a slight bitterness but a nice roasted flavor.

Genmai Cha (brown rice tea or popcorn tea) from Japan that has a combination of green tea leaves and roasted brown rice plus matcha (powdered green tea).  It is known as the “snap, crackle, pop” of teas.  This kind of tea was first drunk by peasants as a cost saving measure but now popular in all societies.

Therefore, the flavor is strong and the color is more green than yellow with a light toasted aroma.

The wonderful health benefits that Genmai Cha Green Tea attributes to:

ü Strengthening the immune system (helps fight diseases, viruses, and bacteria)

ü Weight loss (Blocks fat absorption)

ü Enhances focus and mental function

ü Enhances alkalinity levels in the body

ü Strengthen bones and teeth

ü Lower the risk of cancer

ü Fights inflammation and diseases related to it

ü Lower risk of cardiovascular diseases

ü Fights aging process

ü Increases metabolism and energy

So, are you ready to have your first cup?
