CHINESE APPLE

"Pomegranate"

Blessed Fruit

Symbolic for fertility, prosperity, happiness, marriage, and everlasting

Pomegranate is native to central Asia and derived from the Latin word for "seeded apple."  It is known to be called  "a gift from God" (the Bible and the Koran) and a symbol of immortality in ancient Chinese culture.  Pomegranate is heavily rich in history and symbolism:  the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden, one of the three blessed fruits in Buddhism (citrus and peach), symbol of resurrection and life everlasting in Christian art, medieval -  fertility symbol (abundance of seeds to ensure a couple who eats it will have many children and is the feng shui energy of fruits- fertility cure), and happiness in the family, as well as good luck for one's descendants.

Apart from its symbolic meaning, there are numerous benefits of this seeded fruit.  Pomegranate is great for the heart and immune system.  The fruit is an anti-inflammatory agent.  It is packed with powerful phytochemical antioxidants.  One glass of pure pomegranate juice is equivalent to two glasses of red wine, 10 cups of green tea, six cups of cocoa, or four glasses of cranberry juice.  Pomegranate can help fight against some cancers, cholesterol, stress, free radical damage, asthma, sore throat, and blood pressure.  Also, it helps boost the libido in men and women.  Power packed with vitamins A,C, and E plus polyphenols.

Above all pomegranate is the highest antioxidant fruit than blueberries, cranberries, and oranges.  A friendly fruit for the whole body.  The pomegranate is a powerful symbol in the world's largest of religions and mythologies known to date.

Would you like to have that "gift from God?"
