SIX SUPERSEEDS YOU NEED TO BE EATING


"If you can't get with the nuts, then go with the seeds"
 
 
 
 
     Nuts are not your only choice in getting the necessary nutrients your body needs to function at a healthy balance.  Seeds can give you essential nutrients, such as, protein, fiber, iron, and omega 3 fatty acids. 
 
What seeds are worth the investment in eating?
 
  1. Pumpkin Seeds
  2. Chia Seeds
  3. Hemp Seeds
  4. Sunflower Seeds
  5. Flax Seeds (ground and store in refrigerator for freshness!)
  6. Wheat Germ (store in refrigerator for freshness)
      A good list.  These various types of seeds can help stabilize blood sugar levels, keep you full longer, maintain a healthy heart, give energy, maintain healthy skin, hair, and keep inflammation down.

     *An excellent alternative to nuts for those who are allergic to nuts.

     I highly recommend you try and add it to your healthy diet.  Not sure how to incorporate it to your meals?  Try adding them in smoothies, pancakes, cereal, cakes, muffins, breads, pesto (check out posting on pesto - pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds are great substitutions). 

     All you have to do is get in your kitchen and be CREATIVE!
