"Major Tests Your Doctor Conducts on Yearly Visits"
Okay, hmm? I guess it's that time for me to go and get my annual check up. For those who has not had an annual visit with a doctor yet, this is what is done at the office:
Vital signs
- Temperature (normal is 98.6)
- Pulse (60-100 per minute)
- Blood pressure (120/80)
- Respiratory rate (10-16 breaths per minute)
- Oxygen saturation (96-100 percent)
CBC (Complete Blood Count)
Urine analysis
Thyroid hormones
Cholesterol
Chest X-ray
EKG
Breast, rectal, testicular, or pelvic exams
Weight
Height
BMI (Body Mass Index)*
Ear Exam
Tongue exam
